What Are You Reading (a/k/a Any Harry Dresden fans out there?) I wanted to start another one of these threads, since currently I am hooked... or rather, ADDICTED to the Harry Dresden books.
My wife has the series, and I pretty much ignored them until a few weeks ago when I needed something to read (taking my daughter to her tutoring class) so I gave it a go. HAVEN'T STOPPED SINCE. These books are like crack. I was up 'till midnight last night finishing up "Death Masks". They're easy to read, yet intense & interesting. I would almost believe that Jim Butcher cast a real spell on his books instead of J.K. Rowling (as she has been accused of doing). Anyway, so are there any other Harry Dresen fans out there? Oh yeah...and what are YOU reading? By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Thanks for the tip. I've never read them but have been curious. I'll check them out.
I just finished reading this and liked it. Kind of a Bladerunner-type sci-fi mystery/thriller. It was pretty enjoyable.

I have only read Storm Front so far, but I really did enjoy it and I wouldn't mind reading the rest of the Dresden books too
I really liked the realistic use of supernatural elements ...As for now, the only thing I'm reading is this geometry text book to make more lesson plans for a student I'm tutoring If you will, so will I

Born to a Jewish father and black mother who divorce before she is two, Oreo grows up in Philadelphia with her maternal grandparents while her mother tours with a theatrical troupe. Soon after puberty, Oreo heads for New York with a pack on her back to search for her father; but in the big city she discovers that there are dozens of Sam Schwartzes in the phone book, and Oreo's mission turns into a wickedly humorous picaresque quest. The ambitious and playful narrative challenges accepted notions of race, ethnicity, culture, and even the novelistic form itself. She wrote material for Richard Pryor too.

Once my spring break starts, I will read Politics, Culture, and Economics During the French Revolution. I know, it doesn't sound very interesting. I like that kind of stuff. I abdicated the throne in Ithaca, but now I am...

I definitely want to pick up the next one in the series, but not just yet. When it comes to reading I tend to start too many books at once, and end up confused If you will, so will I

I've heard of Harry Dresden and have thought about getting some of his books, but now I'm into Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse books.
The latest one is due out in May 09 (hurry...hurry...hurry...hurry) They are like crack to me Just light, entertaining, guilty pleasure. I'm not reading anything serious lately. I just finished Neil Gaiman's "Coraline" and "The Graveyard Book" If anyone wants to talk about the Stackhouse books .orgnote me! I'm firmly planted in denial
