Yeah just read it on yahoo. I remember him playing for the sonics in
back to back NBA finals against the Elvin Hayes led washington bullets.
The bullets won the first year and the sonics won the second year.

After Seattle lost to Washington in the '78 finals, the following year they traded Marvin to the Knicks for young power forward Lonnie Shelton. Of course Lonnie helps the Sonics win the title, while Marvin was never the player the Knicks expected him to be. Typical clueless Knick management, no matter who's in charge. They drafted a kid with a bad back when they could have had a real center in Brook Lopez. Shit never changes.

...and you're moaning about the Bulls? At least they have young talent that will get better. Aside from Patrick Ewing, Knick drafts have been woeful - John Rudd, Kenny 'Sky' Walker, Dontae Jones, John Wallace, FREDERIC friggin' WEIS! They drafted him over Ron Artest?!?!?!

Here's the rigged deal where the Knicks got the #1 pick:

I think NBC actually did a piece on this not long after it happened, and had a close-up on the bent corner.

It finally happened. Someone gave Isiah Thomas a job. Now he has another team to run into the ground.

I heard today that AI has been banned from two Detroit casinos. Something about throwing your chips in the face of the dealer just doesn't play well.

Rockets could end up with the 2 seed tonight.

I guess now is as good a time as ever to finally admit that the Rockets are better without TMac.

But have you noticed how well the Magic are playing with Rafer Alston at point guard?

Detroit Free Press: "The Internet was ablaze Tuesday with a rumor claiming that Allen Iverson recently had been banned from MGM and Greektown casinos. However, Greektown casino spokesman Riley Meredith said Iverson has not been banned from the casino, nor did he know if Iverson has ever been warned about improper behavior at the casino. And MGM Grand Detroit spokesman Jamaine Dickens also said Iverson has not been banned from that casino and added he is unaware of any behavior problems involving the athlete at MGM Grand."

I heard it on Jim Rome, and he usually doesn't pass on rumors, but maybe this time he did.

Yeah it appeared that chrissy won that battle. lol
Jim Everett was a stud qb early on in his career and he just went
into a slump and never was the same. Him and that rb bell that wore
number 42 used to ball out. They used to give the 49ers problems on
occasion during their heyday.

Yeah, that was a low point for Rome. But he has owned it, admitted he was wrong, and is now IMHO the best sports journalist in the world.

No, he IS done for the playoffs. That leaves the Lakers vs Cavs. I like that matchup MUCH BETTER than Lakers vs Celts.

Pretty much. The only teams who could spoil that are too banged up(Spurs & Celtics). And IMO, Orlando's a year away.

Of course, because the Lakers lost to us! wink

I don't like when the same team wins all the time. We had our glory last season and it's been nice. Time for someone else to step it up.

Except of course in football razz

I think the Celts will get past the first round, but it's going to take a yeoman effort from PP & Ray to lead them to the conference finals.

OT - Carrie, if you get a chance to hit NYC, go to the new Yankee Stadium. You won't be disappointed!
