The Brat Pack --- Remember Them? Where R They Now?

These guys ruled the screen back in the 80's.

Molly Ringwald - from "16 Candles" 2 "Pretty In Pink", she had those lips, that voice...that teen angst. Last I saw her in was a "send up" of herself in "Not Another Teen Movie".

Emilio Estevez - from "The Breakfast Club" 2 "Mighty Ducks", he seemed 2 do pretty well 4 awhile. Then, he married Paula Abdul, and it was all downhill. lol Just kidding - last I saw of him, he was directing an HBO movie starring he and his brother about the true story of some porn film brothers... I 4get the name. Oh yeah, we all know he's Martin Sheen's son and Charlie Sheen's brother.

Judd Nelson - again... "The Breakfast Club". He was on that show with Brooke Sheilds, "Suddenly Susan"...then left it. I don't know what he's been up 2.

Ally Sheedy - another "The Breakfast Club" grad. She did the "Short Circuit" film, and a controversial lesbian role about some artist (?)... last I saw her on was "OZ", where she played a reporter.

Demi Moore - she went from a soap opera 2 a major film career. 1st with her fellow brat packers, 2 films like "Ghost", "G.I.Jane", "Indecent Proposal" etc... Now, she's trying 2 get her film career going again after a divorce from Bruce Willis and 3 kids later. I think she'll do it.

Anthony Michael Hall - The classic nerd. From "16 Candles", "Weird Science" and "The Breakfast Club" he's yesterday's Seth Green. Last I saw him in what was the remake of "The Dead Zone" which is becoming a TV series.

Robert Downey, Jr. - He was in "Weird Science" and "Less Than Zero"... we all know where he is 2day... sad

James Spader - From "Pretty In Pink" he always played the snotty rich bad boy... where the fuck is he now?

Keifer Sutherland - Another bad boy...he was in the classic "Stand By Me" with the late River Phoenix...great film! Now he's in Fox's "24".

Rob Lowe - He was in "Outsiders", "Class" and "St. Elmo's Fire" (and others...remember the film from the Democratic Convention? wink ) Now he's on the "The West Wing", but he's leaving... dumb career move #2.

Andrew McCarthy - "Class", "Pretty In Pink", "Mannequin" and "Weekend At Bernie's"... he's been absent 4 along time... where the fuck is he?

and of course, John Hughes - director of most of the Brat Pack's movies, as well as the "Home Alone" films 2... where is he?

Did I 4get anyone? Who was ur favorite? Who did u hate? What was ur favorite Brat Pack movie?

Afetr the brilliance of his teen angst movies, how, how, HOW could he make such crap as Home Alone? What the hell happened there??

Pretty in Pink was my all-time favorite movie growing up. (In fact, I watched it again just a few days ago...)

And I really miss River Phoenix. sad

Yea... I ran a Weird Science thread 2 weeks ago here. I thought Anthony Michael Hall was going to blow up, but fate proved otherwise. He was funny in that movie{espcially that blues club scene with the brothers}. I don't really care for a lot of those teen comedies, but I liked that movie.

Don't 4get his great films with John Candy. "Uncle Buck" and "Planes, Trains & Automobiles" comes 2 mind. Steve Martin & John Candy classic.

Oh yeah, Ally Sheedy co-starred with John in a movie... I 4get the title mad . He was a cop, she was a funeral make-up artist. I always thought that was a cute one.

Okay -- The answer 2 the question of what was the name of the John Candy/Ally Sheedy movie is:

Only The Lonely (1991)
A charming romantic comedy with some serious moments from the "Home Alone" team of Chris Columbus and John Hughes. John Candy is an unmarried Chicago cop who falls for a lonely mortuary cosmetician (Ally Sheedy). Humor and problems arise when Candy's acerbic Irish mother (played by Maureen O'Hara, in her first screen role in 20 years) intervenes. Anthony Quinn, James Belushi co-star. 102 min.

---

I really drives me nuts when I can't remember the name of a movie or song that I know I know!!!

lol

I can sleep better now.
