It sucked. He's not funny. Definitely not a suitable replacement for Conan. And his skits where horrible. "Lick Something For 10 Dollars?"
That's the best they could come up with?

Always laughing during his skits "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I watched Jimmy Fallon last night because I'm a big fan of De Niro and Van Morrison. De Niro was his famous non-communicative self, and Fallon was actually sweating after a few minutes. When they came back from the commercial he was dried off. De Niro looked like he couldn't believe he was doing this gig after a while. Justin Timberlake was a bit better. And Van the Man delivered a good performance. I can see this show sliding into a routine of Jimmy talking about the old days of SNL a lot. Tina Fey is tomorrow's guest for instance. One and a half stars out of five for me. I wanted to turn over to Craig Ferguson all night.

I can think of 10 people better suited for that job. Heck, 50.
Jimmy Fallon has the comedic mind of a high school sophomore.

While I found that his humor was insufferable in some areas, it was okay in others. I'd pan the whole "Lick this for $10" gag, but I liked the "Space Train" skit! Total cheese, but it made me laugh out loud.
Justin Timberlake is a very good guest, he's willing to be silly and do things most A-List celebs wouldn't. I found his John Mayer and Michael McDonald impressions hilarious. Overall... Not a total failure, remember, Conan had a rough start after Dave left, too. If we didn't give him a chance, he wouldn't be as much beloved as he is now. Let's give Jimmy a chance... say... a couple months. Oh, and The Roots were badass, yet somehow misplaced. Take that as you will. |

I missed it and somehow I don't regret it. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Jimmy Fallon has the comedic mind of a high school sophomore. Can somebody take Arsenio's resume out the trash can and call him to tell him that a late night position is in badly of need of a replacement. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

how were The Roots? they're his new inhouse band I'd say The Roots are the saving grace of the show. They can play anything and you have to love a band that employs a tuba player!

The Roots is the only thing I've enjoyed on his show, that and Tina Fey... A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon

He need's to stop laughing like a lil school girl with a crush after everything.
Its annoying. Craig should get a nice ratings bump from this idiot. [Edited 3/6/09 22:50pm] The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.
