Concerning the LGBTs..... Hip-hop has always been anti-gay in nature (especially when the gangsta style was created). Both the hip-hop & the R&R communities hated gay culture just like they hated the disco community in the late 70's. The whole notion of straights & LGBTs being able to co-exist and agree on anything such as disco OR life during Studio 54 was declare unacceptable. Most male rappers of many generations have always been anti-gay. But at the same time, most of these same sexual hypocrites would have no issues with having lipstick lesbians and bisexual women in their music videos! And please don't get me started about the very few straight rappers that already had connections to pre-op trannies in their videos, on award shows, or in some clubs!!! Concerning the women..... If you have a perfect understanding of the differences between a lady, a hoe, AND a bitch, then you might understand the borderline sexism that exist in all music genres, not just hip-hop.

And what about Public Enemy getting a pass for their anti-Semitism ("Welcome to the Terrordome", "Swindler's Lust", etc.). Is there anything more ironic than a group so concerned with racism indulging in anti-Jewish slurs?
Professor Griff isn't anti-jewish. He's anti-Zionism. THAT's a huge difference!!!

Professor Griff isn't anti-jewish. He's anti-Zionism. THAT's a huge difference!!! Sure he is. That's why he accused Jewish people of running the world, and failed to mention Zionism completely: That's when Griff, an admirer of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, told the Washington Times that "Jews are wicked...[and responsible for] the majority of wickedness that goes on across the globe." In particular, he said that Jews financed the slave trade and were "responsible for what's happening in South Africa" and wondered aloud whether it is "a coincidence that the Jews run the jewelry business and it's named Jewelry?" http://www.people.com/peo...74,00.html "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I just want to know what we're dealing with. I wasn't even talking to you in the first place, nor was I starting an argument with anyone. Stop embarrassing yourself.

Can you provide any context that would make his comments NOT anti-semitic? Go read Chuck D's autobiography, Fight The Power. He wrote a whole chapter specifically about THAT controversy, not to mention how the media (especially David Mills) were playing divide & conquer within Public Enemy.
