Don't some people get current traffic conditions with their GPS's. I travel to work about an hour. (because of traffic) so yeah, sometimes GPS is necessary. It does more than just take you from A to B.

I am glad we had it when you were driving back from the airport, even though it took us to Phil's parents house (user error on my part), we got to see those hot construction guys .

First - I work in going to customers' houses, so I go to new addresses 6-7 times a day.

Second - Today's GPS machines also include live traffic report and allow the GPS to choose the faster route according to traffic.
