Best Water Filter? (PUR, Culligan, Brita?) Can someone suggest a good water filtration system? For about 10 years now I've used Brita's On Tap filter. If I got lucky the base would last 6 months before it started leaking. And the filter needed to be replaced every few months. But it did a decent job of providing drinkable water. A few years ago Brita introduced a cheaper model that did not filter as good. I noticed the difference immediately. And although they won't cop to it, they've begun packaging the cheap model as the regular model. No more Brita for me!
The idea of having dozens of gallons of bottled water delivered every month does not appeal to me. I've been looking at these: PUR FM-9400 3 Stage Faucet Mount http://www.amazon.com/PUR..._pr_sims_t Culligan FM-15A Faucet Filter http://www.amazon.com/Cul...35&sr=1-16 Does anyone use either of them? What do you think?

I just use the Brita Spacesaver Pitcher.

I have two Brita pitchers - one on my desk and one in my 'frig at home.
I've shied away from faucet filtration because I don't really need to filter the water for everything - just what I drink. (Though I do have a filter on my shower head, too - it seems to keep my hair color from oxidizing.) We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

We have it delivered just because we're a family of 6 and we'd be filtering those pitchers every hour.
You can rent the cooler and just pick up a five gallon jug of water at the store as you need them instead of having lots of them delivered to you monthly.
