This morning I was sitting in my living room waiting for my husband to come home. I picked up my cell phone, called him, and all I said was 'Are you coming?" The dog was 2 rooms away eating in the kitchen. She comes running across the house and goes to the front window to look for him. He wasn't close to the house. She was eavesdropping on my private conversation.

She also is fantastic at hide and go seek with my kids.

the cat gets extra nice when she wants something, and likes to be left alone after she gets it

He watches tv, late at night if I leave my tv on..I will wake up to see my dog in a daze staring at the television.

He sticks his face in my wifes crotch....i do that all the time as well

2. sits on the recliner and watches tv with whomever is in the living room.
2. Can turn a door knob and open a door if he wants to get into a room.
3. Rolls down the car window.
4. Will hug you if you need to be hugged. Both paws around your neck...

He goes to the bathroom sink and barks until one of us comes in the turn the tap on. Then he puts his feet on the sink and drinks the water from the tap.

Ok.....not really human like but shows that he has the humans in the house trained.

I know what the most SUPER human thing she does is...considering her butthole is only about 6 inches from the ground.

he can open doors with low handles.

My sister had an African Gray bird who could talk. she also had two dogs. The bird could eerily sound just like her or her husband and would unintentionally taunt the dogs with "Wanna go for a walk Ebony?" all the while sounding like my sister.
It would drive the dogs mad as they thought my sister was going to take them on a walk.

My dog is the first to say hi to me when I get home it's funny how he knows it's me before he even sees me but then he is probably thinking more like feed me!

My dog doesn't sit noramlly. She sits to one one side on her hip.Kind of girly side saddle like.

Thanks! He really enjoys going to the pub and sharing a pint with his dad. That is the most human thing he does.

i thought i was the only fool turning on faucets for my animals, my silly cats will only drink fresh running water, what kinda crap is that? lol everytime i get up to go to the bathroom they follow me and start meowing until i give them water

my one dog, the weim - Buddy, he just KNOWS that the couch is his, along with the chair, and the bed... if you sit in the chair and he wants on there with you, he has actually been photographed sitting on TOP of the recliner right by my sons head - until my son got up and then he got the whole chair, had a look on his face like, "yeah, i told you this was mine!" lol....

my standard poodle is a real hoot!! he will give hugs like someone else mentioned... he climbs up your body one paw at a time until his feet are on either side of your neck - then he stretches and his body slides up till you are chest to chest and then buries his face in your neck, its really very sweet!! i love my puppy hugs!

and, if i talk to my poodle, he will look at me and start barking back to me like he is really talking to me we can do this sometimes for as long as 10 minutes back and forth like we are really talking - he loves it, i have NO idea what we're talking about

other than that, i think they are pretty human because they sense whats going on around them... when i got home from surgery, leg all in a cast, my two dogs laid with me for the first week straight! nice idea, but me, the cast, and two 60+ lb dogs is a lot to fit on a couch....

Mine does that too. It's like she is sure that she is speaking english.
