Ive just heard about this from my boss, apparently the government is about to pass a law that means the performance of any live music (from school concerts to Prince gigs) requires the venue to have a new compulsory license. The new license is roughly the same as the license to sell alcohol on a premisiss so will be very hard to qualify for & expensive to posess.

This affects not only musicians, not sure where my Dad & I are gonna gig now, but the entire live music loving public. Tickets for major artist concerts will increase in price & small live venues will no longer exist.
