I wanted to know if there is a way to set up my account so only my friends can see me?

In other words, if someone clicks on one of my friends accounts and goes to view their friends, my account won't be visable. I want my account set up so only people who I chose to add, can see my name at all. I don't mean to stop them from seeing my personal info, I mean my name. But when my friends go under their list of friends, they will be able to see my name and picture. What security settings do I use?

I had a facebook account about 6 months ago but I ended up erasing my profile. It got to be too much and I had people trying to befriend me that I didn't want to be bothered with. My profile started to get way too many people on it. I also didn't want some of my coworkers all up in my business.

I wanted to start up a new account to be used for extended family and college friends only. I really didn't want to be bothered with people from High School and junior high. I didn't want to be nasty or rude by not adding everybody who befriends me. There are some people from high school that I don't talk to them for a reason. All of my close friends, I have kept in close contact with.

I need help with my account.

You can set your myspace account as private.

Will that be enough?

So even friends of friends won't be able to see my profile? Because there is an overlap. Some of my good friends from high school I also went to college with. I don't want some of their high school people contacting me?

Go to 'Settings', on the top right, choose 'Privacy Settings' and in the page that opens, choose 'Profile'.
There you can set it as you wish.

You can set your account as private, which means only friends that you accepted as friends will see ur profile.

You can go into your privacy settings and change everything so just your friends can see your account. You can also go further so that only friends can see tagged photos of you and then you can go into news feed and wall and uncheck the things you don't want people to see.

I have all my shit turned off...if not everyone knows every time someone posts something on your page, tags you in something and my personal favorite is when you see a notification that "_____ and _____'s relationship ended" DOH!
