I think I have close to the same one, it's a dell inspiron somethin or other. And I've had it for just over a year. And I'd say the same thing.

PS – It’s FAR outperforming the mac I used to have once upon a time. Because of the problems I had with that mac I’ll probably never buy one again. Though I do love my iPod.

The only other ones I would even remotely consider are Sonys and even then with hesitation. If you get a PC/Microsoft laptop, get as much RAM in it as you can because Vista will consume 500-600 mbs of it--that's twice the amount OS-X needs, and with anti-virus software, expect the load to increase.
Yeah, get a mac.

Yeah, get a mac.

What's funny is, the software that comes with a Mac is worth more that the computer itself. I don't understand the P.C. success. The illusion is being cheaper is just an illusion.

The only mac I've ever owned the hard drive crashed twice. TWICE. The second time I didn't replace it (as it was almost the same cost as buying a whole new computer) and I've never gone back.

I own both PCs and macs. I've liked some of my PCs, but I love my mac.
I always find the biggest criticisms of macs come from folks who don't
currently own a mac.

Pcs are prone to the same hardware issues--this is nothing unusual.
Plus you have to put up with a clumsy OS when you're on a PC.
Unless you're into geeking out on Lynix.
