I am free to crack on them if they do. Do it from a safe distance. It is has been scientifically proven that hairy women are twice as strong as smooth women. Nature don't play. Oh god!

you know what i like? i like a man that's going to caress me when my legs are smooth and a man that's not going to freak out if i choose not to shave for a while. it doesn't really have any bearing on my sexuality or how desirable i am. rock on. You are right. It doesn't have any bearing on sexuality or desirability. For me it's about "presentation". If my face looks scraggly and I have a special event to attend, I shave. She's giving Hollywood Premier from the waist up and PETA demonstration from the knee down. Holy shit! You are making me cry.

I don't know what the big deal is. I had a few girlfriends down south who never shaved their legs. Their boyfriends liked that. I even heard many guys say they loved hair on a woman's legs. It may be a cultural thing.
The hair on my legs is a very light blond...almost invisible, and I used to shave every single day. My girlfriend told me if I stopped shaving them for a while, the hair would barely be noticeable. So, at one point when I was single, I stopped for a while. The hair became baby fine and then stopped growing. I haven't shaved my legs in about 5 years and my legs are smooth and almost hairless. It's a damned conspiracy, ya know. "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack

Geez...I was so busy looking at that mess below her hemline, I didn't even notice that she isn't wearing the proper foundations for a dress like that. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

it's a cultural thing, one of my sisters is of the opinion that real men like hairy legs I've never been comfortable showing my legs w/o shaving them, it just looks gross & unfinished to me. & the funny thing is Monique did this twice in one week I think she just wanted to show the bloggers she wasn't phased & thinks her legs are fine. Great for her, but I would NEVER rock that shit...

She's going against the grain. It is TOTALLY natural to grow body hair. I should know (Not that I'm a woman). But, as I said once before, it's her prerogative. That image poses more than just a woman's grooming habits (Or lack thereof) being an indiscriminate hobby and may not even hold much significant worth on the list of things in their life that they prioritize. It's also a subversive, irreverent fashion statement (In a way.). It's a case of the "Real Life Scratch and Sniff Sticker". This says more about her character than we could even imagine.
It also says more about the ubiquitous niche to pick out little activities that are medially displayed and culturally discrepant by mere merit of virtue. We're a prejudicial society (Especially in the court of public opinion.). That's how it is with the divisive cult-like assessment we choose to adapt and adhere to, religiously. I looked back at the first picture and realized something: I was being sort of harsh and a bit crass; kind of imbecilic and exaggerating. Somebody's got a fetish for chicks that ain't seen a razor a day in their lives. Most don't, however. But who are we to judge? I'm surprised at myself for even being this voracious in the pursuit of stark mollification as it pertains to the crucifying that Mo'Nique being subject to, here. But it's bigger than her. And once again, as I reiterate earnestly, I do NOT find her attractive (Not saying that there's anything wrong with anyone who does.). I do, however, advocate idiosyncratic behavior, and this happens to be a full-on exhibition of that in its truest form. So, go on, girl! Rock that hairy body! I ain't got to find it sexy (And I won't), but there's plenty more fish in the sea. Besides, it doesn't look like she has a problem with attracting the opposite sex. I've seen the guys she's armed up with. So yeah. Let's drop it. [Edited 2/24/09 15:35pm] This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun

meow85 said: Not that I can critique much because I'm a leg-shaver myself, but where in the hell did this double standard come from in the first place? How did we develop this idea that leg hair -something that occurs naturally on the female body -is gross and unfeminine?
I'm sayin'! BOTH men AND women grows body hair but only men get to keep it if they so choose. Women on the other hand has to shave or they are looked at as nasty and unlady-like. Why do we have to go through pain and suffering of ripping our skin off with wax or shredding our cooch with a razor. Shit, if dudes can walk around looking like a Kongo Gorilla than woman shouldn't be judged for being a King Kongstress. surviving on the thought of loving you, it's just like the water
