Glossette Raisins, aka Rasinets

although I find that those along with a cola and popcorn usually leave me ending up feeling kinda gross after the movie...

I worked at a movie theater one summer (worst job ever), in the concession area. I would come home smelling like stale popcorn and had greasy, "butter" stains all over my shirt sleeves. Thanks to that summer I can't really eat movie theater popcorn. Even the smell of it make me feel a little ill. I usually bring my own bottle of diet Coke but that's about it. I'm not really a big candy eater.

I hope all you guys take your trash with you and throw it away on your way out of the theater instead of leaving it on the floor. I had to pick up so much gross shit that summer--diapers, food, etc. Nasty!

I never buy snacks at the movies. I'm just not a big movie snacker and most places have stupid Coke products. I sneak in my own Mountain Dew.

I went on a date once with this guy who paid for the tix and said, "U don't want popcorn, right?" Kind made me feel obligated to say no. pout
We get in the theater and he pulled chicken and white bread wrapped in foil out of his pocket! omfg "Want some?"
I was mortified! It was a date! omg
Then when the movie was over and the lights came on, there were bones on the floor!
Tacky ass. disbelief

But, yeah. I go buy my bag of gummy worms at Pathmark and have my bottle of water in my purse, but get my movie popcorn. popcorn

falloff

See now, THAT is just pathetic! lol

I don't usually get anything while watching a movie. But my sister introduced me to a treat that I get on some rare occasions: Peanut M&Ms and popcorn. A really, really good combination.

Oh, hell yes. And Coke. I don't drink soda except at the movies and when I indulge my one fast-food love, McDonald's Filet-O-Fish. Both times it has to be Coke. Not diet. Gross.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who sneaks food into the movies. I used to make one of my kids wear their backpack, since who would check the bag of a sweet little child? innocent We'd stuff that shit with microwave popcorn, juice boxes, chips, fruit, granola bars, whatever. lol

I don't go to the movies hmph! not until they put the prices back down to something a family can actually afford.
To the drive in we bring microwaved popcorn, cake, whatever we've got! Next time we're bringing pizzas and beer.

I must smuggle in a Snicker's Bar in to the theater, because I don't spend $20 on popcorn and soda and candy bars when I can go to the store and buy the same things for $5.

If it were possible to get buttered popcorn that tastes like the one at the movies (actually, not just kind-a) and sneak it in, I would.

I don't work at Aldi, honest lol BUT the lite butter mircrowave popcorn from there is great - I'm not going to say it's exactly the same, since I can't remember what real movies popcorn tastes like any more boxed

See I always bought Raisinets and popcorn but I didn't ever eat them together until the last movie I went to, Taken.

Damn, it is a taste sensation.

I worked in a movie theatre when I was young and I rarely desire popcorn anymore. It's just too salty and too much gross fat with the butter.

I went through a Buncha Crunch phase for a while, as well as a Mrs. Fields milk chocolate chip cookie phase (cause there's one outside of the theatre I often go to and I would buy cookies to sneak in with me). I also went through a cherry icee phase and I still love those.

But most often, I don't get anything. I eat before I go to the theatre to avoid buying crap that's too expensive and a thousand calories too many for me.

We only go to the actual movies about 2-3 times a year. It shouldn't be enough to affect my waistline. shrug
