Does anyone have... Carpral tunnel?
And is there a way to treat it without an operation?

I've had it before, and 2 of my friends have it now they both wear wrist braces all the time

Is it permanent... the using of the braces?

I think it's to stop the movement that aggravates the inflammation, to allow the tissue to heal. I guess theoretically, if it is allowed to heal then your problem is gone, however if you are doing a repetitive activity (like ironing, as in the case of my friend who has an ironing business!) it will probably happen again.

I see. I think it may be from the angle I hold my hands while typing. (Not that I have been diagnosed with it, but I have sharp pain in my wrists and think that could be what it is, or close to it.) Once I overheard someone saying something about taking in a certain type of nutrient or vitamin or mineral that could help, but I don't remember what exactly it was. I should probably do some research on that because I'd rather go the route of not having to resort to operation, if it is C.T.S.
