Yea i make my mind o\focus on other things, a poster the tv if they have one around, drinking my water, a book.

Some people distract themselves by doing things like counting backwards by threes. Some carry a paper bag to breathe into, in case of emergencies (or they just cup their hands over their mouth and nose).

Will take pics hun!!!!!

Looking forward to the "missmad and ZombieKitten, together!" thread! smile

We will have to agree to disagree. hug

I see where Jersey is coming from though, ganja does calm a person and as with all psychoactive drugs it will affect all ppl differently, some respond better then others. It has been widely used and well confirmed for treating a number of ailments including anxiety, depression, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, spasticity, neurogenic pain, movement disorders, asthma, glaucoma and highly associated with ppl affected by cancer and HIV.

In saying all this, of course there are many other avenues for treatment like hypnotherapy, meditation and prescription meds are a wise option.

I have not felt musically inspired for a long time and now that the drive is gone and I have a great paying job, I don't feel satisfied though a part of me does feel thankful for being stable. I'm just not emotionally very happy with anything, and more and more I'm not enjoying friends company and feeling anxious

i felt everyone was looking at me and i hate that.can't take it!

how the freak do yall cope with/without meds.

I am not a fan of meds btw.

Well speaking from personal experience, you need to first pinpoint exactly what is making you reach this point. When you do this make sure you are far away from any distractions that could prevent you from thinking clearly. Writting it down helps quite a bit.

Next you should try finding a release. Without looking at any of the responses, I am sure 90% of the people here will say music. It works for some people. But it should be something that doesn't cause anymore stress or cost a lot of money (soon you will have a new stress... thinking "how did I run up this much debt?")

The people staring at you (or thought of) could be caused by said anxiety or low self-esteem (self-esteem can play all sorts of tricks with your head that you would never know)

Best of luck to you!

I've tried 4 different types of medication, three therapists, holistic meds and meditation and you know what works best? Facing my problem myself head on. It's okay to be anxious or depressed but if you let it paralyze you, the problems will still be there later.

Xanax, ativan, and those things have too many side effects and they don't calm me down, they just put me to sleep.

nod

I'm not into meds either: they make you sleep for ages without feeling refreshed when waking up. Finding depression causes are the only way to solve things out.
Is there any place of refuge one can flee from this insanity
