Ya know, I wasn't that crazy about it. Lower-middle-tier Woody. But people love it and I'm curious to hear GD'ers takes.

On DVD in North America. I believe it's still in the theatres in the UK and some other places.

It's not an obsession; it's an entertaining exercise in critical thinking (and fap material razz ). hmph! There are GD'ers who are obsessed with certain celebrites. I am not one of them.

I really liked it.
I'm not a big fan of Woody's so if this is considered lower-to-mid tier on his scale, that might explain it. lol
Especially enjoyed Pen Pen Cruz.

Javier=Instant Hard On. horny

I think I needed smelling salts after the first time I saw Javier, which was in Jamon, Jamon. Lord.

I haven't seen Vicky Christina Barcelona, but it's somewhere in my Netflix queue. I've heard great things about it, so I look forward to seeing it. Woody can be hit or miss, especially the last 10 years. To me, the best Woody Allen film remains Hannah and Her Sisters, with a bunch of others achieving classic status.

Ya, I wish - Javier almost 20 years ago in Jamón, jamón. I was in love when I saw that movie. love

I love the scene where he is banging the wife and asks for a motorcycle then it cuts to the next scene and he is riding the bike.

I'd hoped for more in a reunion flick for Penelope & Javier. Penelope's character reminded me of an ex I'd rather forget. lol

Scarlett, on the other hand, reminded me of why I predicted she'd be a big star when she started out: She's pretty, and audiences seem to forgive her comparable lack of talent.

I dug Javier's character. That brother could act in his sleep, which is about what this film required of him. Not so great a film.

now, now...you're being mean!

did you see matchpoint? she was weak in that one, too. she looked great, though. I think woody allen has a crush on her.

Yeah, VCB, Match Point and Scoop (which I rented, thinking it was Match Point -- it was so bad, I had to stop watching it).

Still haven't seen Match Point.

I liked VCB. Wasn't really much point to it or anything, but it was just pretty to look at (both the people and Barcelona). I normally don't like those kind of movies, but I think I was in the perfect mood when I saw it. It just kinda...seduced me.
