which loss would be harder for you to deal with--hearing or sight?

if you were to go totally blind or totally deaf immediately...which would be harder for you to come to terms with? i don't think i could function without sight--i can have everybody write everything down (plus i won't have to listen to beyonce anymore) lol

I see the iPod generation would rather lose hearing.

They're all gonna be deaf eventually nod

Me too.
I think that I can relate better while hearing because of how I process information.

I can't stand total quietness so I'd rather be blind than deaf. It would be horrible to never see another dick again though. lol

We had to answer this question in Kindergarten. I still stick with my previous answer--I hope my already-crappy hearing doesn't completely fade! Eyes can go before ears, definitely.

There is a natural way to prevent glaucoma. Light it up!

I would rather go deaf. I would still be able to read, watch sports, etc. I also don't know what I would do if I could no longer enjoy my favorite sight; the female body.

Tough one, but I think it'd be harder to lose my sight.

I'd rather be deaf than blind. I'd feel so much more out of control and helpless without my sight. Being deaf would be a definite challenge, but to me being blind seems downright terrifying.

exactly. the idea of me being helped around with most things is very terrifying. especially if it involves being ill or hospitalised neutral

i've already gotten my older days to deal with those things (if i lived a long life, that is), so don't take my sight now. sad

Hearing. Much as I'd be devastated to lose my sight suddenly and not be able to read, I could always learn Braille. But to not hear music, birds, people's voices? Uh uh.

Hearing. I need to talk to people and I need music. lol I can't stand being in a quiet room, and I hate being alone because I'm kinda paranoid, I need to hear activity around me.

I could live w/o seeing pretty well. Though I guess I'd need help all the time, which is kind of sad. And I wouldn't be able to draw anymore...how about LEGALLY BLIND? biggrin
