Who here wears wigs, extensions, falls?

I don't really want extensions but I'd like to maybe add some removable pieces to my own hair.

Something like these maybe

I kinda want to get wigs in other colours too.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Erin I bought a package of hair and dyed it to my own color. Then I cut pieces to the width desired and sewed on wig clips. I have very fine hair so when I want to get all hookered out I'll put 2 pieces in the back and one on each side to add volume. If you clip them in the right way you don't feel them at all.

It takes time so I don't use them often, but when I do they look pretty hot!

I wear a small piece on top of my bald spot.

Doesn't that stuff cause traction alopecia?

I have a piece like that on the far right that I use if I'm doing a show and need longer hair. I just keep my own hair cut with fairly long layers, so I can hide the "join" with the extensions.

Did you use real hair? So you can buy it in bulk? Or do they come in strips?

What you do is exactly what I want to do.

Have any pics with them in?

Is it a long strip that you use in the back? I heard that you put it on in the shape of a soft V at the back of your head.

Did that make sense?

That sounds interesting nod. But I have my hair coloured at the hair dresser. So it might be difficult to find a matching colour to dye the fake hair sigh.

Next time you go, take it to be dyed as well!

One can never have hair that's too great. I want mine to be bigger and fuller!

I'm only kidding. Sam's the only guy who could pull that off. When that day comes, I'll shave it off.
However, I did know a fella once who went prematurely bald in his teens and sported your classic comb over from the left. He would spray it down with all sorts of shit - hairspray, wax, Lilt, you name it.
One day, as there often is in Scotland, a wind which could blow your eyebrows off blew hard. I was walking beside said friend when I noticed his entire do was dangling from above his ear, held on by a few wsipy bits of fluff which looked like corpse pubes. It was shaped like a bowl, a bowl made from hair, and danced around in the gale hitting off his shoulder. You actually could have poured a pint of milk into it. It was almost poetic in its depiction of male neurosis.

I never liked big hair; I always preferred chicks who had straight, "small" hair.

I thought about that. But I doubt they will do that. But I will just ask them. biggrin

Combover. :shudder:

I don't recall it being unusually windy when I was there, but that was a looong-ass time ago. ...Although, come to think of it, I do recall seeing Jim Kerr with an economy-sized container of pomade in Glasgow. hmmm

Yes I used real hair. I got a package at Sally's and surprisingly they weren't bad! I kinda wish I got them a little bit longer because it's the same length I have now but it does add volume/fullness to my overall "do".

You won't be able to tell in pictures...in fact most people have no idea I have them in, they just say "Your hair looks great tonight!".

Actually...it's one piece shaped like a rounded triangle (if that makes sense). Clips across the top and down the sides to the nape. You clip it over and around your own hair in the back.
