How to Be Respected If you want to be respected by people, clothing, money, education or physical attractiveness are not requirements. I find it very respectable when someone conduct themselves with integrity and treat other people with high regard.

In your opinion, how does one gain respect? Very simple, letting your Yes mean Yes, and Your No mean know. Showing humility and grace in all things. Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

I think you have to stand for something and have dignity, grace and humility. Regardless of if someone agrees with you, respect should be a given.
