So, you know that I pulled a card from the inner deck a few weeks ago. The card was the ocean and in it were a mermaid and a merman on top of 2 rocks. The mermaid was on the right and the merman was on the left. They each had one arm outstretched towards the other and in the palm of each of their hands was the end of a rainbow with the rainbow arching between them. At the top of the rainbow were two dolphins which were jumping over it.

When we looked it up in the booklet that came with the deck, this was the explanation:

Last night I went to my public speaking group. I haven't been there in a while cuz of logistical bullshit but found that I can fit the group back into my schedule! So I didn't do a prepared presentation but basically caught up with the group letting them know how I have used meditation over the last year and how I feel it is helping me with certain beliefs I have about those who have passed in my family, namely my cousin.

So we had a half hour left by the time everyone who wanted to speak had their turn and the moderator said that one of the girls needed 10 minutes to go over upcoming events and that left us with 20 minutes. Since there were 10 of us, he suggested that we each take 2 minutes to freestyle. There was a basket full of cards from different decks, i.e. angel or animal etc.... and he asked that we take 2 cards from the basket and read what was on the card and explain what they mean to our lives.

So my turn comes and to make sure I made as pure and unbiased a choice as possible, I closed my eyes and turned my head. Stuck my right hand in, then my left. Felt my cards and pulled them out. I go to the podium, grab the mic and tell the group "OMG! I have to tell you about the last card I pulled for myself. I described the card and then flip over my cards to show them which 2 I picked:

• Whale
  
• Mermaid

I guess at this point I really shouldn't be surprised but I was picking my ass up off the floor! A whale is practically a dolphin, just bigger and the Mermaid, no explanation needed. Obviously

The Whale card said: "Honor Your Soul's Purpose"
The Mermaid card said: "New Age of Prosperity"

I have been thinking about a New signature for this year and was going to post this one from Lamya's "Empires"

Empires in my purpose - new eras in my brain

Obviously I'm doing the first in the last 4 years and especially moreso now that I'm pursuing my higher education. I haven't posted about it but I think know is the right time but I attended the informational event for the program I want to get my Masters in, namely Spiritual Psychology! you knew that but that was for the ones who didn't The second part, I want right. now! but when I explain about the school, you'll see how that ties in.




So, let's talk Mermaids!!! What are their meaning? What do they represent? The Mermaid has been coming up lately and I'm sure I'll see more of her in the future. I wonder what her name will be or is. I ended my inner child deck thread with the following:



Consider my feeling, do you think the fact that I pulled a singular Mermaid signify that aloneness? Does it represent nature maybe, cuz you know how I am connected to that girly inside me

Merpeople = balance in emotion (=water/ocean) ease of living within emotion and comfort sitting above it ( on rocks ? ) but always returning to emotion with pleasure and comfort ... now that's just my opinion because I know you can search the web like I could to find others answers to their meaning


your mermaid may be showing you your comfort in your feminine emotions yes - and it could be showing you you may also need a bit more balance while IN the emotions and then also while out of the emotion relaxing on your rock (?)

When I was young, up until probably I discovered my gifts, I felt almost completely female inside. Certainly when I was younger I was all feminine. To the point that I thought I would have to have a sex change because that is how female I felt. I am pretty sure I can peg this back to my discovering my gifts, the fact that I've been coming to terms with my maleness.

I remember when I first started growing pubic hair and I felt the hugest sense of shame because it confirmed that I was male. I know that females get hair there too but it was more that I was becoming a man and that confirmed it. I have always felt very safe and comfortable in my female identity but I'm connecting with my maleness in these last 4 years or so. I feel very special because I am a man that is a woman that is a man that can accept he is a woman because he is a man. It's such an onion Layered I mean




I find this very fascinating because I am completely comfortable in my emotions Well, mostly with one side: sadness, pain and happiness. I feel they are all related. I don't however, have a handle on my anger. When I started this venture over 4 years ago, looking back I see such an innocnence and this is where I think there is some validity to the notion of knowledge as sin as seen in the Bible. Adam and Eve sought knowledge and the way to that was through the fruit of the tree they weren't supposed to eat from. Once they had knowledge, everything went to hell. Literally.

Knowledge definitely brings many things. Responsibility being one of them. I've been having to really deal with "knowing" and what that brings. Sometimes it's total euphoria. Sometimes it's total hell. I think I am coming into the place where I can understand how to properly separate the 2 and keep them in their right place

If the mermaid is a part of that, I couldn't be more thrilled

I always cry hysterically at this part!

I pulled The Mountian ( rock ) card from the Reki deck last night after my Reiki session

I usually get "emotion type cards " showing me where I could use some work

The Mountian - is about solidness - complete balance

like th rock the mermaid sits on ... I had a mermaid dream 3 nights ago

I had a dream about the Little Mermaid last night! In the dream my sister had a photograph of clouds and she asked me to look closely to see if I see anything. The photo was postersized and laying on a coffeetable.

I didn't see anything and she told me to move back. The further away I got, the clearer the cloud became and it was Ariel! Then she turned the light off and 4 eyes started glowing on the photo, hers and Flouder's. Didn't notice him till the lights went off
