LazyTown mashed up with Lil' Jon! LazyTown folks not too happy

I read in one of the local newspapers this morning that there has been floating around the net a professional-looking mashup of some song from the children's show LazyTown and some Lil'Jon video and that the producers of LazyTown were not really happy about it.
I just found the video and this shit is crazy! lol
Check it out before they remove it from youtube....

here's my problem with shit like this, I have a 5 year old daughter that loves Lazy Town and is pretty computer savvy for her age...now, she is never unsupervised while online but it's not unimaginable that she would come across this...I mean, why can't kids stuff stay kids stuff?? The Lazy Town folks have every right to be upset about it...

I'm sorry but I laughed my ass off at this when I first saw it because it's so out there; so audacious! People are bound to be perturbed because it's so capricious and discourteous of the peeps who made it. I, however, am VERY amused.

Must have missed it back then because I only heard about it this morning in the newspaper... the reason it's making news where I live is because Lazy Town is an Icelandic show (although some of the cast are American) and the producers over here are trying to get the mash-up removed from youtube and other similar sites.
They also said in the article that they received complaints from teens when they removed the clip from Youtube for the first time...

Oh my GOD! That girl is going to turn 18, this year. She looks so young on that show! She's cute, though. I can't believe she's as old as she is. This shit is awesome! I'm sorry for the parents out there who are affected by it and disturbed, but I can't help it. All's I can say is keep the little ones away from this sacrilege tainting....because it's too much awesomeness for them to bear! lol cool

I double concur. woot!

We used to watch this all the time. I love it. I don't think it comes on anymore here in the states though.

lol This is kinda old. Sad, but I'm sorry I have to laugh when they do things like this. It wouldn't be the first time. Dig deeper on Youtube and you'll find a lot of interesting things. They're corrupted the old school Nick Jr. host Face. There's Youtube Poops of shows like Barney and Arthur going around as well. But with most of those, there's an age limitation. You have to be at least 13 to view them by verification.

However, I DO see the point made by roodboi. Had I children who watched this show, the parent in me would be incredibly upset. (But then, I'd run off and giggle like the immature fart I am.. eek ) But I have heard some horror stories concerning 'net savvy kids, youtube, and that search feature. A friend of mine let his kid sister look up SpongeBob. Long story short, she found this voice over of one episode called "Grandma's Kisses" and um...picked up some interesting language. D=

So yeah...shame on the people for making it, actually. While I did laugh, it really is kinda icky...>_<

This concept of putting some random (usually inappropriate) song over some kids show is getting REALLY boring.

Slighty off-topic, but the next day after this story was published, my local newspaper translated an article from News of the World that quotes Magnús Scheving, the creator of LazyTown, as saying that Quentin Tarantino loves the show! He even mentions that Tarantino has visited the Lazy Town studio in Iceland. No mention about the mash-up though.
Here's the interview with Magnús Scheving:
