Was that an act or is Joaquin about 2 go over the edge?

LMFAO, Dave was brilliant. "We owe Farrah Fawcett an apology" - too funny! "I'll come over to your house and chew gum", LOL.

It's unbelievable that someone like Phoenix is basically unable to function in real life, yet can deliver such great acting performances.

I imagine drugs have a lot to do with Phoenix's state of mind. It's hard to believe that he would agree to come on the Letterman show but not at least try to get straight for thirty minutes.

he's got his buddy following him around with a video camera to film a "documentary". I think that this is all a big act, he isn't losing anything except for cool points.

Yea, he was Stupid on Letterman. What an Ugly look. He looks like a Rick Rubin Type but he's not a good interviewee at all. Crispin Glover was much more fun to watch. Letterman was Rude to him though and made fun of him. If I was Joaquin I woulda walked off. I mean sometimes Letterman is really stupid himself and Rude to Guests. No wonder PRINCE won't go on his show. And Paul Schaeffer Never says anything COHERANT!

I watched that last night and I was shocked. I don't know if this is an act or not but homeboy was not anywhere near that stage last night. Joaquin's a hot mess man.

When I watched this last night, his whole appearance was bizarre. The audience was laughing the entire time. You could not tell if Joaquin was serious or pulling a fast on, but I hope it is an act, but if it is, he did a good job. He said he had a tick problem and was very jumpy. I was waiting for him to pull off the beard and reveal to Dave that it was a joke. Dave was so uncomfortable with Joaquin because he didn't know if he was for real or pulling a fast one.

Prince has been on Letterman... maybe twice (performed)... and even participated in a little 3 second video skit with Letterman and Paul Schaffer... that was cut on the reruns.

ok i believe all the "it's an act" people now

-late show handlers wouldn't have let him out with that rat's nest
-film people wouldn't let him out to publicize the movie if he was messed up
-he played it really really straight. wore glasses so he wouldn't betray himself
-that's a long time for someone "jumpy" to sit there so deadpan esp. when dave's making jokes at his expense.
-now if he had walked off the stage... hmmm
doveShe couldn't stop crying 'cause she knew he was gone to stay dove

Whether it an "act" act or just an act, it's an act.

What a douche.

Yeah, Dave was awesome. lol Good for him for not putting up with that bullshit.

It's an act. Can he function in real life like a non-douchebag? Debatable. Can he function in real life like a sane person? He has and he can.

I was laughing so hard because I was trying to figure out if he lost it or was acting. Dave looked like he was getting a little pissed off at first or was just totally confused. lol

It makes me doubt it all; is Casey there to watch over him without Joaquin being freaked about it or is it ALL a scheme?

If I see Joaquin, I wanna give him his meds and cuddle him. Then shave that fucking beard.

Like I said; I wonder what's the thought behind this all. It might as well could be this IS the actual Joaquin and he was acting all those years before.
