I am happy and upbeat most of the time. Sometimes some not so great memories of my childhood pop in my head, and I get depressed, then a hug from one of my kids, and it get's wiped away. | |

People always comment on how happy I am and it's not a front because I revel in the happiness I create but there's probably very few that could feel what I feel in sadness and pain and not come out unscathed. I have my dark days, but they don't come nearly as often as they used to....for me, going to Iraq and seeing what I saw, along with some personal things in my marriage that I had to deal with, kind of changed my perspective on how I'd be living the rest of my life... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.
