How Self-Conscious Are You?

For the longest I've been thinking of the most sensible thread. I think I've found the quintessential query that a person like me marvels and wonders so vehemently at. For the longest, my mind has been feeling like the tumultuous uprising Lava of a volcano. I think the overflow has come into place. Now to sort this mess out by way of cooling things down with a few people.

You try too hard, that's all. comfort

As for the topic? I'm painfully self-conscious. To a point where it's nearly debilitating, but it hasn't quite crossed that threshold yet.

It's a wonder I leave my apartment. confused And some days, I don't.

Carrie you are a doll and have no reason to feel that way, i truly wish i had been more attentive when we met because when we finally got to talk beyond "what do you want to drink" i realised what i was missing hug

How can one be physically self-conscious? You contemplate a lot of regretful actions prior to the engaging of those aforementioned?

I think it's impossible to do away entirely with self-consciousness. That said, I think I've become about as close as you can get. lol

Like using language in a way that makes me wonder if you know the definitions of the words you're using. Like "wondering vehemently". It doesn't really follow, or make sense. Which is maybe what you're trying to do, be deliberately surreal or something. But none of it is necessary. You seem like a decent guy who's fairly creative. Just tone it down a bit. You'll find what you're looking for.

I used to be terribly self-conscious. Not so much anymore. I stopped caring what people think.

You use, like, lotsa big words to try and impress and it just kinda makes you seem like a douche. shrug

I don't think you are one, though. You just gotta ease up on the thesaurus.

lol Believe me. I know what I'm saying. I can tell you that much. I may overdo it with multi-syllabic patterning of words, but the gist is understood. To me, if I want to get the point across that a feeling I have is one that is very passionate, I may be using the wrong technique. But they are epitomized statements in that sense. Getting a little carried away is my forte, after all. But, meh. I get that a lot. Same goes for the guy above me. But I understand why SOME people feel that way, I guess. Anyone else?

its a case of wishing I was in better shape than I am and when I see friends or family that are in better shape, I feel a lil' oogie about it...shrug
it's pretty superficial really and I know I have much more important things to worry about but its the one thing that bothers me when I'm around other folks...

I'm to busy analyzing others to worry about what I'm doing.
I guess I'm on a bit of a high horse, when it comes to being conscious about myself. Sometimes I really believe I'm a princess. nutty

I was so self conscious that i would avoid making eye contact with people as I walked down the street. People used to laugh at how I look all the time. People are very shallow and need to do sometihng to make themselves feel better. Fuck them.

Not much. Once I became more self-aware, I found that I wasn't very self-conscious anymore.
