Wednesday, February 11, 2009 – updated: 2:55 pm EST February 11, 2009 ATLANTA, Ga. -- Police have identified the woman who was allegedly set on fire by her daughter and killed. Police said 58-year-old Myong Hui Pak died at Grady Memorial Hospital after her 31-year-old daughter set her on fire Tuesday. Myong Hui Pak died of her injuries at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police arrested Na Young Pak and charged her with aggravated assault after the Tuesday afternoon incident. Capt. Brian Harr with the Norcross Police Department said an aggravated assault call came into 911 just before 3 p.m. from a home on Langston Drive in the Sterling Brook subdivision. The first officer at the scene found Myong Hui Pak suffering from severe burns, Harr said. Neighbors had doused the woman to put out the flames, police said. | |

I'll reserve judgement till the motive is reported. That momma might a been abusing her daughter or pimping her out. The names sound laotian (sp) or indian. They have a sex slave, arranged marriage problem in those cultures. Maybe the daughter was pushed to the boiling point. Also, daughter could be mentally ill/schizo and didn't take her meds then thought she was firing up the grill or something. The devil is in the details.  | |
