calling all green thumbs! has anyone ever tried to grow a plant from the fruit you just ate? any luck? i had the cutest baby mandarins and i would love to see what they do! i also have a pomegranate and thought that might be interesting too. anyone tried growing the grape or apple seeds? how cute would that be? ![]() | |

I'm sure it can be done, but someone said something about the reason you don't do this and that you only buy fruit & vegetable plants from the nursery is that they are certified "disease free."
What disease is in a seed that is not in the fruit I just ate, I don't know My Legacy

awww that plant/tree is sweet. I used to grown Pineapples. It was fun but the squirrels would usually steal the baby pineapples. [Edited 2/11/09 13:01pm] | |
