Turning Point....

What has been ur major turning point in life?

An event that changed U forever.

Did U get to that point by ur own decision or merits?

Go on, confide in me... lips

My brother, spending time in an Egyptian prison, made me realize how good friends, and moral support can save a life.

There are several ( and will be more I am sure )

Major ones include

my grandmothers ( bets friend ! ) death
holding a dying friend in my arms
helping my best friend burry her twins
marriage
childbirth and near death from the 1st experience with birthing
helping a friend ( 4 now ) burry her/their husbands
birth of grandchildren
attending funerals of my childrens peers
surviving cancer ( husbands )
attending funerals of my peers

just off the top of my head

Deep and meaningful. Death is hard, there is no closure and it's so final. What changes did U notice within U with every passing event?

Many of those caused deep soul searching for what was REALLY important to me in my life - deeper connections - HUGE graditude shifts - appreciating each day with loved ones and showing them so. letting petty wants and drama go with more ease ... so many shifts really

violator

It was a breakup about 10 years ago that really caused some introspection and self-evaluation. I really became a different person. It also changed my perspective on relationships, but that's another conversation...

My daughter was the other catalyst for change.

I did but they seemed a bit heavy and personal for an open forum so I edited them out.
I have had many sad and happy turning points so far in my life. I think the biggest one recently is finding out I am pregnant.

My mother dropping me off at college when I was 18 and saying, "Oh, yeah. I'm not helping you financially so you better figure out how you're gonna make it." thumbs up!

Everything since then has been a walk in the park and I haven't looked back since. cool

My aunt who raised me having a heart attack on the second day of my final exams at school. I did the best exams of everyone crying all the time, but from that day on my focus in life was no longer to make a career.

The death of my dad. As hard as it was I felt free as he had been very ill all through my childhood and I wasn't afraid anymore he might die any day.

Meeting a man who I fell in love with like I never did before in my life. I tried to fight my feelings for a very long time, but it finally ruined my long time relationship with the man who I thought I would spend the rest of my life with.
With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....
