Cigarettes are like 3 bucks a pack now. I have a friend who smokes a pack a day, so that is almost $100 per month! Any kind of drink is at least $2.50 in clubs/bars around here. It may sound like pennies, but over a course of time, not drinking or smoking saves!

I LOVE having roommates. They are great guys and we get along very well.

NYC is an expensive place to live. I have one side of a duplex here RIGHT downtown (half block from the state capitol and a block and a half from THE temple) and the rent is only $1,100 per month. It has 3 full bedrooms, 3 floors, a garage and a nicely sized kitchen. Living in Salt Lake is CHEAP!

I don't know where to start! I've downloaded about 15 of his songs on iMesh to get an idea where to begin, but I'm still at a loss. I tend to like his funky stuff the best.

OK you're annoying me now. 1,100 in new york city will get you if you're luck a 1 bedroom apartment where the bedroom is exactly the size of a queen bed.

Get his box set. "At the Close of the Century." Or to start small go with his one-cd "Definitive Collection." I think they're putting out remasters in LTD edition later December. Dunno tho they're imports with each disc up in the $50 price range.

I don't know about imports, but his remasters of all his 70s albums were reissued in limited edition form and regular form. I guess this was like 2 or 3 years ago.

Three dollars!! They are about 5 bucks here. Last time I bought a pack of Camels for a little over 6, and Parliaments (lower end of the line) are about 4.50.

Drinking is expensive too - I paid 6 bucks for a third of a fifth of Cuervos last night. But man was it good drool

$3.00 a pack? Oh you poor baby! They're $10.00/pack here in Canada. Their goal is to make cigarettes so unaffordable that people have to quit for financial reasons. That and putting pictures of diseased lungs and mangled teeth on the packages.

Is it working? Well, actually, yes it is!

They should try and do something like that here in the UK!! In my opinion its still the most filthiest nation 2 live in the Western world, regarding smoking!!
When we returned back from the USA, last year, it was a huge culture shock 2 me 2 find that moreorless everyone here still smoked after all the health warnings, and campaigns on TV, radio, magazines, etc!! The British people are so stubborn and very disinclined 2 change their archaic Victorian ways!!

By the way, I had a huge CD buying splurge on Saturday!! I went 2 the monthly Record and CD Fair in Southampton, near where we live and came home with about a £100 worth of Prince boots!!
Heres the list:

The Work Volume 5
The Gold Experience with Days Of Wild on it as the normal commercial one doesnt have that on it
The Black Album - eye only have it on tape
Dark City, Club Kaufleuten, Zurich, August 23,1998
Glam Slam Yokohama, April 6th, 1992

I highly recommend Record and CD Fairs!! I save up so I can go there and have a good time!!

I don't! Well, only when I drink... or when I am forced to DD.

I smoke when it is convenient, but don't need it - I usually will buy a pack, go through it verrry slowly, then won't buy another pack for another 6 months/year.

Crazy huh??
