Damon Wayans is a "G"

Did y'all know that Damon Wayans was a cast member on Saturday Night Live back in 85? He was the "token black guy" to take Eddie Murphy's spot. Well, here is how that experience went ...

Now, that's how you make an exit.

And what's funny is that Chris Rock left SNL to join ILC for its final season.

What's even funnier is how UNFUNNY SNL has become, as of late. Just when Pop Culture hit an all time low where more and more undeserving celebrities are being formed because of outlets like MySpace and YouTube (Chris Crocker and Those Motherfuckers that did the Treadmill Act, just to name a few) and "SUPPOSED" self-proclaimed reality television shows, you'd think it'd be easier to find DECENT comedians that can make fun of these mockeries. But NO! They all suck. Back when it was just a LITTLE harder to satire the preposterous antics of the intermediately drone entities of entertainment, you could find EXCELLENT comedians. BLEH! Even The Wayans fell off, recently. They were once a collective force to be reckoned with. Such is life.

MAn, Damon could have ruled SNL if they had used him right. Imagine him doin' Head Detective and Homey the Clown on SNL ... Alos, do you think he would have had enough clout to get his relatives on the show? lol

I agree with most of that statement. I don't think SNL has been funny in about 15 years or so. Probably more. I don't even bother to watch it. It's a waste of my precious sleeping or drinking time lol

As someone rightly pointed out (Norm MacDonald?), Chris is a brilliant, brilliant standup, but he generally sucks ass in sketches (I will give him a pass for Nat X).

It couldn't have possibly been that funny. You're the 1st person I've heard mention it. If it was that funny, someone would have spoken on it already. shrug

I agree. He's not good in films either, at least not carrying them.

SNL has always been incredibly hit-and-miss (as is the nature of a program that has to pump out new material in 2-3 days). Compared to the Doumanian years, the current show is a freakin' masterpiece! lol The shows best years?

You guessed it: Frank Stallone.

Yeah, Chris is a shitty, shitty actor. He did a little better in I Think I Love My Wife, but that ain't sayin' much. lol

Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader are slight exceptions, though. I don't know WHAT happened to Kenan, but after All That and Kenan & Kel, he's delivery went down a great deal as well as the/his writing material (If he is writing that garbage. And some people are good enough to turn trash into treasure. So there's just no excuse either way, right?).
