From what I understood, CBS never liked the John Amos role and they fought alot over the content of the script. He wanted to finally find work on the show,etc. We CBS had enough, they killed him off (on the show).

I really only liked the Cosby Show because of Lisa Bonet and Malcolm Jamaal.

She also had a complaint about Jimmy Walker's character of JJ. Thought it was becoming caricature-ish.
