Recycling gets picked up Friday mornings, garbage Thursday mornings - both around 5 or 6 AM.

It's a bitch b/c Mondays are always a mess & I have to get it all out (trash, recycle, yard clippings) BEFORE I go to work - I work nights & can't deal w/ all that lugging @ midnight...

Once I was lugging everything out really late, looked up & there was a man standing @ the end of my driveway just staring @ me :O I was SO freaked out. He eventually kept going. I'm still not sure if he was watching me or if we both happened to scare each other for a moment...

And what's the deal w/ them wanting us to collect food scraps now??? I don't want that smelly crap in the house, isn't that the point of puttin out the garbage??

Most people here live in high-rise public-built housing, and perhaps they have recycling, but depressingly there is no recycling service down my street (except for the hunch-backed guy with missing front teeth who collects bottle caps).

Here in Spain trash is picked up in the evening 6 days a week. We take our (little) trash bags to the trash containers that there are on every street.

We would end up buried in our own trash if it was only picked up once a week!!

why am I posting in this topic?. Oh yes, now I remember, I have a cold and feel terribly sick, that´s why

Thursday morning around 8-10 am - trash
Thursday morning around 10-11 am - curbside recycling

heheh--sometimes I put regular garbage in the yardwork only bin hehe!

There is still some life in this one!
