Mach!!!!! Ever heard of the Inner Child Deck?

They are marvelous touched

Wednesday night I had dinner with a friend that is into exploring spirituality the way that we do and he brought out an Inner Child deck. The deck came with a book that defined the cards.

He asked if I wanted to pull a card and I said absolutely so he shuffled the deck himself and picked a card. He pulled the Two of Crystals. The Card had two gnomes on opposite ends of a see-saw, an owl in the middle of the see-saw and a swing in the background tied to a tree branch.

We found his card in the book and it said that the see-saw represented Libra and the gnomes the 2 sides and how each side needs to co-operate with the other in order for their to be harmony and peace and that the owl represented wisdom and justice and that the swing represented isolation. My friend is a Libra eek

He offered me the deck and instead of shuffling with my thumbs, I did a cut shuffle where you just take one part of the deck and transfer it to the front over and over. Not sure what that method is called. Anyway, I did that twice and was about to do a thumb shuffle when I was struck to stop and pull the top card.

O. M. G! The card was absolutely magnificent mushy touched worship I pulled the two of hearts. nod At the top were 2 fish, as in Pisces! I'm a Pisces eek The card was the ocean and in it were a mermaid and a merman on top of 2 rocks. The mermaid was on the right and the merman was on the left. They each had one arm outstretched towards the other and in the palm of each of their hands was the end of a rainbow with the rainbow arching between them. At the top of the rainbow were two dolphins which were jumping over it.

I just stared and stared at that card. It was so beautiful. We looked it up in the book and I don't remember word for word what it said, nor can I find the card or the translation online, but it said that the mermaid and merman represented male and female energy and that the rainbow represented marriage of the two and that it represented true love and that could be love with a person or even a higher awakening. At this moment I can't remember what the dolphins represented but I think it was joy. At the end it said something about helping a loved one heal.

Since my perfect garden is at a cove in the sea, I want to incorporate this card in my meditations on my garden. I believe the loved one I am to help is my cousin Lisa who is now on the other side.

OK, I'm not weirded out about the selection of the cards but how crazy that we both picked cards relevant to our signs. We both picked a "2". The explanation of his card was on page 251. Mine was on page 215 eek 2/15 is my nephews birthday biggrin

So cool smile Have you ever heard of this deck? Do you have any like it? How many decks do you have? Of course you can always share with me in orgnote if you don't want to divulge your secrets in public wink

hug

.

That sounds like some Michael Jackson shit. Is it basically becoming childlike to embrace your innocense? Caring for the child within? I believe that the our childself is always there just that we develop minds and bodies beyond that. And I do believe that you have to confront your childhood pains and fears but I think there is a maturing process through this that needs to be embraced. Young at spirit is one thing, being stupid about it is another lol I'll have to look into this because I have no idea about it lol

falloff He was a psychiatrist and philosopher (or so some people think), in my book the craziest bugger along with ol' Sigmund.

http://en.wikipedia.org/w...archetypes

Basically, he feels that some emotions like anger, obstinacy (is that the word?) are emotions that manifest the inner child... I agree with you that you need to confront the childhood traumas (and you know I got plenty of those, actually I had a breakthrough with my sis just yesterday and I was thinking of orgnoting you about it, weird that this thread would show up) but Jung takes it way further. nutso

Mach

I do not own this deck - beautiful card pulls BTW and no surprize wink

I am not sure if I own a deck like it though. I would need to look through them and compare.

I have about 15 decks of different cards and a beautiful deck that our own Muse gifted me mushy

so I'll pull you a card from the deck I am enjoying at this time " World Spirit Deck " created by my good friend and one of jessica's bellydance sisters, Onca O'Leary

Six of Cups
Just for now, leave the worries of the world behind. Live fully in the present. Even a few moments of such deep ease can seep into and change your life. If you are not experiencing the joy promised in the Six of Cups, you might look to your memories for such a time. In fact, this is traditionally the card of nostalgia, looking back on happier days. But more than just longing for a perfect and irretrievable time, reminiscing can help you draw insight from the past to enrich the present. Forgotten dreams may resurface with renewed potential. Remember, the innocence and simple joys of youth are always available within

lol so yeah ...

Do not look to memories before 15. Hell no. for me it was 15-18 with Prince's music, and music in general, in my room. That was my salvation. 18 after, coming out. Mostly I think back on my 20s when I had a certain naivete and when life hadn't yet tried to crowd out the goodness with its crap. Even after that abusive relationship I was still so innocent. I need some of that back. I'm too pissed too much of the time lol
