External hard drives I bought an external hard drive a while ago and want to put my DVD's onto it.
I put Videos onto DVD and now want to save them forever. How do you do go about putting it onto the hard drive? Any help appreciated. http://www.myspace.com/savage1999uk

www.videohelp.com will tell you all and give links to all the free software you need, plus guides on how to use it
if you can find dvdshrink then thats one of the easiest ways to do it you can either rip the vob (etc) files and playback with the likes of powerdvd, or rip as a complete image file (like an ISO file) and playback with the likes of VLC media player personally i rip the vobs rather than ISO as then i can open the vob files in other programs and it's easier to edit that way | |
