Those are so stupid there's really no word for it. I got one today that told me my ISP is updating their system so I needed to send them my username and pw or the acct will be deleted after the update.

Don't answer it, just delete it. It probably is some kind of a scam. Is there a way that you can block this email so that you don't receive anything from them anymore? That's what I would do. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I got this one:
Hello Dear Lonnie Ruth, I really appreciate your response to my mail and happy to know that you are in good conditions. I am (Mrs Isabella El Karma).Am writing in respect of my late husband (Mr El karma Rahman)his blessed memory a Lebanese Citizen with account number D14-A5096/ECB/AD who perished in a Benin plane crash on Thursday, December 25,2003 in [Ethiopian Airline ]with 111 passengers killed aboard in Cotonou, Republic of Benin. Since the death of my husband, I have personally watched/search for a trusted someone who will help me to transfer this money into his foreign bank account and relocate me to his country for investment, but all my search was not made easy because this money is my only survival now. You can visit the web site of the incident of the plane crash through the help of CNN.COM. http://www.cnn.com/2003/W...index.html It is by the grace of God that I see you today, as I have particularly lived my life so well, as I have really cared for people ( even myself) and my business. Having known the truth; I had no choice than to do what is lawful and just in the sight of God for eternal life and in the sight of man for witness of God & His Mercies and glory upon my life. My husband worked with the Chevron/Texaco in Benin Republic for 16 years as the Managing Director before he died in the year 2003.We were married for ten years without a child. My Husband died instantly during the plane crash. Since his death I decided not to re-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial home, When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of $13,000,000.00 (Thirteen Million United States Dollars with a Bank in Senegal . Presently, this money is still with the Bank and the management just wrote me last May 2008 as the beneficiary that our account has been DORMANT Why? Note that I personal have found out that the money is still intact with the bank. Presently, I'm at British hospital here in Senegal where I have been undergoing treatment for oesophageal cancer. I have since lost my ability to talk or speak and my doctors have told me that I should not talk always; I check my mails through the doctorʼs computer in his office. Now I want every of our talk through email because my late husband brother is the one with me in the hospital Please, I beg you in the name of God to help me Stand-in as he beneficiary and collect the Funds from the Bank. Please note that I have talk with the bank management on how to transfer the money to my provided account and they ask if I have the certificate of Deposit the will make the transfer within 4 banking working days of the commencement. I took this decision because I know that you can not do harm to me. Please I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my soundless voice and presence of my husband's relatives around me always. I don't want them to know about this development. I am await your quick response to this mail as this is my last wish to see this funds transferred before my Death. Keep this transaction for your self only until you get the money in your account soon according to my last discussion with the bank. Tell me a little about your self. On the receive of this from you I will send you the bank contact for the transfer immediately. I am waiting for your positive honest reply for the way forward. Remain Blessed Your Beloved Sister Mrs Isabella El Karma Rahman And I replied with this: Oh my God....I completely sympathize with you. Last year my fiance and I were hiking through the amazon when we crossed through a creek when a school of African Cherokee Pirahna started attacking us! I tried to save my fiance, but in the midst of his agonizing pain, he found the strength to tell me to go get help. Then out of no where, 10 brazilian saber toothed crocodiles began to attack him. I couldn't believe what I was seeing as I horribly witnessed the impending death of my true love! I had to summon every ounce of strength in my existence to leave him and go for help. I jumped on my flying kangaroo and headed for Gumdrop Island, because that was the only place I could get the magical tampon of time to save my lover! I had no time to waste! I jumped on and didn't look back. When we finally got there, I was told that the evil witch named Diana Ross's Twin has stolen the magical tampon and replaced all the gumdrops with koala turds! Oh no! The shock to my system! I just sat down and cried, cried, cried...until all 3 of my brown eyes turned blue...then I went blind and my kangaroo ran away because if she didn't get back to Earth i n time, the portal would close and he would be stuck on Gumdrop Island forever!! And EVERYBODY knows that when Kangaroos eat gumdrops, they get volcanic earth shattering gas and shit lava! So I told him to leave me and go. And now while I am writing this, the evil monkeys in white jackets are coming to get me and I don't know what I'm going to do! The only way to get back home is to go through candy land to catch a ride on the Mint Chocolate balloon! And if I miss this one, I have to catch a ride with Halle Berry, and I don't want to because she likes to run people over and keep driving!! Can you please send me 1 googly bazidrillion infinity million hundred million umpteen fiddy-eleven dollars to catch the mint chocolate balloon? Please, you are my only hope! I am praying you will do so! Your brother, Mr. Frankenstein Jones Stupid bitches.

Have any of you gotten spam that's dated with previous years?
I had about 75 dated 1936...of course my email account put them in the spam folder, but the problem is they never get deleted by the email host because that date never comes up But if you delete them yourself, simply because you get tired of having an over-blown box, coupled with the fact that a legit email gets tossed in there by mistake and you have to dig thru pages of junk to find them, it trips off the senders to keep sending more. If anyone has a solution to this, lemme know...I'm fed up
