eat stuff out of the minibar then replace it with identical things from the supermarket the next day to save $5?

I haven't done it YET, but I wouldn't rule out potential cheapskateism on my part, and now I can blame the recession

I wouldn't go as far as replacing a can of Coca-Cola with home brand cola, but geez it's tempting!

I'm pretty certain other than U! George Costaza would do that!

I've never been to a minibar.
I've heard that, just like regular bars, they're meatmarkets. Except, y'know... smaller.

I used to UNTIL they started marking the food and using sensors. One time a hotel charged me for stuff I picked up, looked at, and put back in the fridge. So I'm guessing they had some high tech way of knowing I touched the stuff.

Umm...I know this might be going out on a limb but, wouldn't it be a lot easier to just bring snacks with you?
