Helicopters for everybody In my pursuit of conquering my fear of heights, I've done some stuff, gone up in tall buildings, planes, helicopters, ferris wheels etc to try and figure out what it is exactly that scares me so much. It's led to my obsession with planes and flying to the point of looking into flying lessons. Specifically looking into learning how to operate a helicopter. BUT the ones they teach you in, R22s have no doors I think I would be too scared

My first airplane trip was probably the easiest one I've ever had

R22's suck. They are like flying a go kart, they feel really cheap but they give you the basics of rotary flight, which is way harder to master than fixed wing.
Get yourself one of these babies AS355 Twin

I'd like one with a set of missile launchers attached to it (kinda like the everyman's version of the S-67 Blackhawk).
So that I may wreak vengeance upon all mine enemies. And upon a few orgers as well. Y'know, just for good measure.

during a field training exercise, I rode on the skid of one of these while strapped to a stretcher.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.
(George Eliot) the video for the above... http://www.youtube.com/wa...re=related

We used to have a couple copters for work, and our pilot was a former Vietnam Helicopter guy. We used to strafe boaters on the creek and lake near our office. We'd come up behind some unsuspecting boater or wave runner, get up high and then dive bomb him.
Dudes would be jumping out of boats and off wave runners - it was so freaking funny! And every single one of them would motion for us to do that again. Except one guy. He reported us to the FAA, and they didn't see things the way we did, so we had to stop.
