Connect with people using Yahoo! ?? Okay so I was sent an invitation from an orger to connect with them through Yahoo!,and accepted the invite,but does this now make my email available to anyone? I just received another invite at a totally different email address then was givin to said orger,and I do not know this person at all. Is there anyone here named Evelyn Elias? No,just to me,and then when I click on view invite,it shows MY profile with the the city I live in filled in,and I did'nt fill that in when I excepted the orgers invite. Should I be concerned? do u have your profile open to the public? Are u sure its not just your ip adress showing u where u are located.. Eample my yahoo shows wher u are located.. but only u can see it.. My profile is not public.. but yet i had an invite from someone i didnt know.. i just declined it

My profile isn't public either and so random people shouldn't be able to send me messages but it has happened a few times anyway - I just block them and don't care. | |

I wouldnt be too worried That might have been it,I went,and modified my profile,and then I noticed at the bottom,it had the option for people to be able to find you by you first or last name,so I unchecked thoughs,so hopefully that helps. thats why i removed the yahoo chat app long ago. ppl would pop up on there, sometimes their entire conversations between people i do not know. so i figured if that happened on mine, well my chat could possibly pop up on others whom i do not know. | |
