I'm a forgiving person. Probably way more so than I should be.

Being sorry is the key. In honesty if someone pisses me off and it is inconsequential then fuck it, i ain't gonna sweat it but if it is deep, close, meaningful then i sure as hell WANT to forgive because grudges or pain held on to really hurts and troubles us as humans. For me the key is if the are sorry or if they want to heal the rift. It is a 2 way street but i am a firm believer in if one wants forgiveness then one will prove it.

100% agreed! particularly the part about proving it. nod

Are you a forgiving person? I mean, a truly forgiving person? ...I try to be but some hurts just cut too deep

how about you?

I can forgive, for the most part. But I CANT forget. Sometimes that gets in the way of truly forgiving that person. Does that make sense??
Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here

my problem has always been that i'm way too forgiving of people!!! i mean there are some folks in my family that have done things to me that you wouldn't believe! and i forgave them. but now i am at the point that i don't want to be walked over or controled by people anymore, i won't allow it. so yeah, now i forgive, but i'm not going to 100% forget what you did to me, and i will continue the relationship with extreme caution.

Yes, maybe too much. But I tend to put myself above pain and sorrow.
Is there any place of refuge one can flee from this insanity
