Jonas Brothers Surprise the Obama Girls at the White House President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle weren't the only ones who got entertained by A-listers on inauguration night Tuesday. Their daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, received a surprise visit by the Jonas Brothers. ABC News is reporting that the Obama girls kicked off inauguration night by watching High School Musical 3 and Bolt with some of their friends from their new school Sidwell Friends. They then had a scavenger hunt around their new home to learn its history. (White House ushers had organized a similar hunt for Chelsea Clinton when she first moved into the White House in 1993.) At the end of their hunt, according to ABC News, Malia and Sasha opened a door to find Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas (who had performed their hit "Burning Up" for the girls Monday night at the Kids' Inaugural Concert). "I just wanna hang out at the White House!" Kevin, 20, told reporters at a Television Critics Association panel for their Disney show J.O.N.A.S. last week. "I know there's a bowling alley," he added. "And if I ever got the honor to bowl at the White House...." Nick said they had previously met the Obama girls backstage at the Ellen DeGeneres show. "We walked into a room, and they were playing ping pong," he said. "They beat me. It was a little tough with 25 Secret Service agents!"

How cool was that? They are going to have lots of fun. Are they still getting the Canadian poodle-something-or-other doggie? "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack

Those 2 girls are so beautiful. I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to observe their joy at their father's historical accomplishment. I love when there are children in the white house, I look forward to watching them grow over the next 4 years. Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

They probably would've preferred Chris Brown "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

That's not true, those little girls love the Jonas Brothers! Their mom has given interviews that had me cracking up, because she described how at the DNC she told them she was going to surprise them with a satelite tv message, and their eyes got all big and they said "Is it the Jonas Brothers ?", and she was like " Ummm, no, it's just Daddy, Sweetie..." I love little kids, I swear I must be getting old because I can't even remember who I was checking for when I was 7 or 10 .

Sad that this generation gets the likes of the Jonas Bros and Hannah Montana.

It seems like these days they have music geared sooooo specifically to the "tweens"...I think when I was that age I was just listening to regular music all the grown folks were listening to or whatever was on fm r&b radio. Now, I remember the teeny bopper magazines that had 5 or 10 of the same folks on the cover constantly (just like we do today), but there's a whooole 'nother level of mass marketing to Tween-dom now. I guess because I was listening to regular ole radio I ended up listening to Prince and MJ too...and this was BEFORE they HIT internationally and started ackin' all crazy I remember Prince had a song called "Still Waiting" that I ADORED in 4th grade! They used to play it every night at 10:05 on "Quiet Storm" right before I went to bed!!! You know we need a separate thread for what folks was listening to at age 7 and 10, right?

Yeah, I think the focused marketing definitely has a lot to do with it.
