i need ideas for a new job

I like the one I'm at, but I can't live off what they're paying me even with a roommate to split costs.

I can't do office or daytime work, since I'm a full-time student. Anyone have any ideas on something I could do that works around a school schedule, that I won't starve off of? I'm already in debt up to my ass from trying to pay bills and get myself edumacated at the same time. I won't tell you what I owe, but for a 23 year old it's disturbing.

And before anyone tries to be funny, I already thought of hooker or drug dealer and nixed those ideas. razz

Bartender, they work at night, if you're sociable and chatty (which you appear to be) you'll make loads of cash... Rent-A-Cop, they work at night but I don't know if there's much of a market for them up in Canada...

I'm having the hardest time thinking of night jobs...

Keeping in mind I also need time for homework and, preferably, sleep too. razz

Bartender might be an idea...hmmm

With all that in mind all I can come up with is Kept Woman... I don't think that's your style though... hmmm

That's definitely an idea to keep in mind for future reference, but for the time being I don't have any money-worthy skills I could utilise from home.

Definitely not my style. But desperation can persuade a person to drop some of their values, at least temporarily.

I don't have a problem working generally, but I do have a problem working when it eats up most of my free time and I still can't pay bills. If I knew someone willing to support me while I go to school, I would so be ready to go for it right now.

Have you thought of working from home? I know that places like 1800flowers hires people to take orders and such and you can do it from home.

I believe you have to have a separate phone line to use exclusively for the job. You also need a phone with a cord that has no features (call waiting, voicemail, etc.). You will need a quiet area to work where you won't be disturbed.

Customer service got me through. The pay was pretty good for a college student and the hours are often flexible as a lot of call centers are 24 hours.

Thanks for the ideas. Hopefully I can sort something out soon. It's rent 'n' bill time soon and it's looking like I might have to borrow off the card again to pay. sigh
