You upload your file, choose which conversion you want, then download the new file

Are the WMA files lossless?

Converting lossy to lossy will degrade the quality of the files.

I use Cheetah software. It was really cheap and easy to use. If not send me the wave file and change it for you.

You shouldn't.

Transcoding lossy-to-lossy (i.e., MP3-to-MP3, or WMA-to-Ogg, etc.) degrades the quality of the file every time you do it.
One should only create lossy files (i.e., MP3, OggVorbis, M4A, WMA, etc.) from lossless sources (i.e., CDs).

Don't transcode between lossy formats; you'll just end up with low-quality music.

They were described as WMA only so I guess they are not lossless.

You could try a lossy-to-lossy transcode; if it's "first generation", the quality loss may not be audible to you.

Btw, why do you want to change formats?

Because I don't think that they would play on my iPod if I don't. Of course I could be totally wrong here, cause I really don't have that much experience with the different kinds of files.

I think you're right - iPods only support MP3, AAC, WAV, and AIFF.

Well, if you don't have lossless sources, try it. Hopefully, they'll sound alright.
