Annoying Searchengines Appearing In Internet Explorer Browser whenever i type an address in my browser that doesn't exist or can't be displayed i'm being directed to a search engine (every time another one it seems) instead of getting the message

yes , Firefox's too slow for my taste for surfing

Try setting one particular that you favor. ( I love google) I have it set as "the one" at least then you end up somewhere? | |

Sounds like IE's been hijacked... it's a big pain in the ass to fix and the main reason why I only use Firefox now. A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon | |

do you mean addresses that really don't exist or addresses like www.proince.org while you meant to go to www.prince.org . The latter is called cybersquatting, people buying addresses (gogle.com, yagoo.com, ...) and putting up an advertising/search page just to make money of it. The former is either caused by your browser (you can change that default behaviour) OR by your DNS server which relays you to a catch-all server when he can't resolve the web address to an existing IP address.
