Oh Nancy...I truly hope it's not cancer, I will keep thinking good thoughts for you. hug

hug Thank you. I've already done the crying, "I don't want to lose him" thing. Now I'm trying to stay positive, and hope that it's not cancerous. If it is, well, I probably will have to put Reebok to sleep. :I would hate to keep him alive, when he's sick and suffering, all for my sake. As hard as it is, part of loving an animal is knowing when to let it go. sad
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Could it be maybe the kitty ate some string, causing a blockage?

I had a friend whose kitty ate some string and had similar symptoms!

The kitty had to have an operation, and luckily the vets were able to save her.

Maybe is not a tumor, but a blockage which is still serious, apparently.

I know this is tough. May you find strength.

Oh, I hope your kitty will be OK.

Thank you. I'm hoping that it is just a blockage as well. pray The X-rays will give me the answers that I'm looking for.

Well, I just got back from the vet's. I dropped my cat off, so they can do the X-rays. The vet felt my cat's stomach and said that it didn't feel too good. He still isn't sure what's causing my cat's discomfort. He mentioned lymphoma, irritable bowel disease. He also said that sometimes it's hard to tell what is going on by looking at an X-ray. If the vet can't determine what is going on with my cat, he said that he may send the X-ray to a radiologist. I should know something either today (if the vet can make a firm diagnosis), or a couple of days (if the X-ray gets sent to a radiologist). I'm still holding out that it's some kind of blockage/obstruction, and not cancer. It has been a tough week with this going on. I have a headache from crying so much. headache bawl

Okay, the vet did the surgery, and it was a foreign object that was in my cat's intestine, and NOT a tumor (that's the good news). The bad news is that because the foreign object was in there for a week, the blood supply in that area was cut off, resulting in an infection. The area is so infected that the vet had difficulty stitching tha cat back up, but I know that he did his best. sad The cat's health status is now "guarded", and the vet said he will call me back later on today with an update. I just pray that Reebok (my cat) is able to overcome this infection, but I'm not sure what will happen. He is 9 years of age, which is considered a "senior" cat.

I appreciate your thoughts and prayers, and request that you continue to pray for a full recovery for Reebok. People always talk about the power of prayer, and I'm hoping that a lot of prayers and positive thoughts will pull him through this ordeal.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
