I took about 80 cd's to a used disc store a couple of years
ago. The dude took a look at the stack, eyed me and said:

"Yeah right, are these your sister's cds or what?"..

To which my friend in the background just added a loud

"No,he's a fag haha"

At which the whole store almost wet themselves.

They screwed me over too, I got the equivalent of about 60
dollars for all those cds. But I just had to get rid of m.

I'd put them in a box on the attic for a while but that was
not enough. I Could just hear them chattering up there and
conspire a coupe of my new 'artsy fartsy' record collection.

So I sold the lot of m.

Two years later I actually went back to the same store and
bought my own "Dave Stewart" album back: for 10 dollars smile

Damn.

Anyway, the thing I wanted to ask is how's the new Sinead
album??

eek Shiiitt...

If that woulda been me Id told them 2 shut the fuck up U immature lil pricks and shov ya store up yo juvenile ass and then stormed out...

No way Id stood there and taken that. Or maybe U made it sound harsher than it was...

smile

Man... I had all of it... I used to produce some rap/hip-hop acts in Dallas as well...

I haven't listened to that stuff in a number of years and decided to get rid of it.

I honestly think that the older stuff like that was a million times better than the rap that is out there today.

Oh, I got rid of all the Wu Tang, Method Man, Old Dirty Bastard, RaeKwon, GhostFace Killah, Redman and Warren G discs too.

{SNIPPED FOR DISBELIEF}

I would have answered you if you hadn't said that. disbelief

Well...they're not tho really are they?

That's not really the point. You seemed to have been insinuating that just because they're not on the charts that you're skeptical they could be any good.

I wanted 2 borrow The Bends off my sister but she said being a Prince fan and a fan of black music mostly I wouldnt appreciate the "slit yo wrists" theme of Radiohead.

No offense, but your sister maintains an extremely silly generalization.

Yeah. It did look very much like an insinuation of that kind, but heres a quote from me answering the same Q.
"...Im asking if Radiohead are as good as ppl say they are...Im not sure because I dont hear any of their stuff because they arent on the charts that much."

He thought he was the King of America

Now I try hard not to become hysterical
But I'm not sure if I am laughing or crying
I wish that I could push a button
And talk in the past and not the present tense
And watch this hurtin' feeling disappear
Like it was common sense
It was a fine idea at the time
Now it's a brilliant mistake

:p

Discs... for me:

Radiohead - OK Computer

I was listening to this one again tonight. It's EPIC. Just EPIC. But by me saying that some might think I love every single song on it. I don't. Still - EPIC.

You know I just gave away all my Radiohead CDs... had bought them all because I really like Coldplay and based on that, folks suggested I give Radiohead a try...

So I went out and impulsively bought all of their CDs (that's how much I like Coldplay's style and respect the opinions of my advisors) and I just couldn't feel it. The music is too electronica laced and the vocals are horrible for me--barely audible whining.

At least with Coldplay I can hear what them bammas are whining about!
