If this is true, I'm doing pretty damn well for myself, especially considering I'm not a college graduate.

But like someone above said, it really depends on what the standard of living is where you are. $30,000 goes a LOT farther in podunk Alabama than it does in San Francisco.

Those are ghetto wages in SF! lol

Hmmm....

I guess I'm successful, but in this area, you do need to be at least 150 years old. neutral

nod

Actually when I was 25 years old I set a goal to make TWICE my age, and as of last year, I accomplished it.
woot!

Today we got the news that we will not be getting raises (usually done in January) because of the struggling economy. Too many customers have been cancelling or downgrading their services. If things get better then we'll get them in the Summer.

...and if I don't get another raise for 4 years, then I'll be older than twice my pay and will no longer be "successful".

I read somewhere that Oprah said that as long as you are making more than your age number a year then you are doing pretty well for yourself.

For example, if you are 26 and you are making $38,000 a year, then you are successful, if you are 26 and making $20,000 a year, then thats making below average....I guess smoker

if making 38k a year at 26 is successful, i guess im doin damn good for 23...

too bad money doesnt make me happy sad
