Do the pinch test! If your flab is soft & mushy, U're retaining fluid! So drinking as much water as U can durring the day will do the trick to start with! Besides exercising I've been drinking 4 to 6 litres a day! The gut & love handles have melted away!
Apparently the body retains fluid when your fluid intake is low! A sort of self preservation mechanism. When U raise your intake, your body gets rid of the exess retained fluid. Thus the slimming effect takes place! :dork:
Apparently 3 portion controlled meals with 3 healthy in between snacks helps alot as well! geek

Are reading this Kylie!!!! mad

I would normally walk to school and back each day twice each day (20 minutes) 5 times a week, and on top of that walk to kindy and back (45 minutes) 3 times each week. That was always enough, but thanks to these looooong holidays, I'm not even getting out of the house.

Well not long to go now and then Im sure it will drop off nod

1. Stop drinking full flavored sodas (if you do indulge)...in any event, reduce your sugar intake...
2. Stay away from white bread and processed flour products...
3. EXERCISE...even 15-30 minutes each day is enough to keep your metabolism firing....
4. Moderate your carb intake...

good luck!!

All I ate today were those Goldfish Crackers and some Extra Large Virginia Peanuts. Lately, I've just been snacking. I actually think I'm slowly losing weight, if only grams and ounces rather than pounds. Heh

I forgot to add that minimizing alcohol intake is also important...if you do imbibe, stick to the white/light liqours (white rum, vodka, gin)..and drink them straight up or mix with diet sodas, water, or natural fruit juices, not the ones that are overloaded with added sugars.....

....I also use Splenda or SweetNLow in a pinch in my coffee....

Indeed, good sir!! And it should also be noted that working out for more than an hour during an individual session is generally not recommended for the average person (i.e., not a competetive body-builder or athlete)....

My advice and it has worked, first stop eating before you go to bed, that was the most stupid thing i did, but it was after work and i was hungry. Once I stopped that which took bout 15 lbs off in a month. I'll have a couple of saltine crackers when I get the urge.

Works for me. Also the major hurdle is to change your lifestyle and the role food plays in it.

Cause its NOT a diet, its a way of life.

This is essentially the exact same thing I do and I've been able to keep pretty trim for years after an initial 25-30lb loss. The thing is I'm not very tall, so even an extra 10 lbs just does NOT look good on me. I just wish I had the wearwithal to do some damn ab excercises regularly. I reeeeeallly want a girly pack on my tummy (what would it be? A 4 Pack, maybe confuse). I tried doing the ab series from THE FIRM dvds, and even as masochistic as I AM I could not hang with those heffas hmph!...in fact, I never wanted to throw stuff at my tv so badly before in my life mad

But yeah, if she follows your suggestions and incorporates her walks back into her scedule she'll be fine lol . I would add that she should intake whole grains to help the metabolic process (brown rices, 100% dark/whole wheat breads, barley, quinoa, whole wheat cerals w/o sugar ect.), as well as invest a few visits to a sauna to help jumpstart it. All this with 8 glasses of water per day, veggies and nuts as her between meal snacks, and she can probably drop that 10 kilo in 4-6 weeks...faster if she takes up a consistent aerobic excercise regimen to help her burn off the fat. water

Exactly. You need at least 30 minutes to get your body into the fat burning phase. That being said, I'm about to go put in 50 minutes of Tai Chi-Kickboxing combo class right now wink

You can still have a beer now and then...if you stay with full flavored, minimize drinking them as much as possible, especially if its a heavy beer...if you go light, 2-4 a week won't do much damage....me, I drink this...

With a beautiful amber color, this beer blends the aromas of 2-row black and caramel malts with U.S grown Willamette and European hops giving it a full, rich taste and clean hop finish. 114 calories, 3.7g carbs, 1.1g protein and 0.0g fat, per 12 oz bottle.

...helps me maintain my girlish figure....giggle

I'll be 48 in seven days. I started hitting the weights from '85-'88, then I got lazy and stopped for a long time. I got back into it in '98, and I've been nonstop ever since. I do about 90 min. of weight training and 40 min. of cardio(mostly StairMaster). It does wonders for your health, which is a priority since I'm pushing the big 5-0.
