Surprisingly, its FAR from it I have no idea how I slept on this film for a long time sometimes I confuse this movie with 'Sixteen Candles'.. I love both films..

'Last American Virgin' (If you've never seen this, it's a bit more than your average horny teen movie. The end is just crushing) 'Three O'Clock High' 'Heaven Help Us' 'Seven Minutes In Heaven' 'Fire With Fire' 'Fast Times At Ridgemont High' 'Valley Girl' 'Some Kind Of Wonderful' I have 'The Last American Virgin' on VHS and you are right...it's not your average teen sex comedy. There's alot of seriousness and drama in this film! The ending is heartbreaking.I like how they keep playing the song "Oh No" by The Commodores...that song works so well in it. I think the title does it in as being so much tripe. But almost everyone I've asked to watch it is surprised by it.

That's fairly obscure, even in terms of awareness from the Average Urban Joe/Jane. Consider this a friendly caveat. I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't. Then again, it has Vanity. VAN-I-TY!!! This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun

Actually it was one of the 1st movies I ever seen in my household. My elder sister & bruh lived their teens in the 80s, and that movie(along with Vainty ) WERE all the rage back then.

Unless I saw The Last Dragon in the 80s (and I don't remember).... No. I don't think it was on late at night or in the stores to rent. Though I have ran into the soundtrack (and passed )

I didn't know that the org liked this movie.
This thread seems to have such a favorable response. I was in my teens when this movie came out.

Maybe in `83 or whatever, when 1999 was the latest album. Watching Graffiti Bridge and listening to Chaos And Disorder is what does it to people.

I have the 7". Jesse didn't produce the track though so it doesn't quite sound like his other stuff. Yeah,it definitely sounds more "pop-ish" than the funky R&B stuff that Jesse was doing at the time.
