I love the scene where Sheen is smoking, and blasting the music, comes out to dance and goes back in the room slamming the door!
Actually, there is so much I love about this movie.
Although I'm a black man, I can relate to all the characters, as I think most teens can. Which is my it transcends color so easily and effortlessly.

A lot of John Hughes' movies lost shine for me when I discovered how much of an ass Molly Ringwald was. But this stuff was gold for me when I was younger. This and a host of others:

'Last American Virgin' (If you've never seen this, it's a bit more than your average horny teen movie. The end is just crushing)
'Three O'Clock High'
'Heaven Help Us'
'Seven Minutes In Heaven'
'Fire With Fire'
'Fast Times At Ridgemont High'
'Valley Girl'
'Some Kind Of Wonderful'

I really like that movie!

I have 'The Last American Virgin' on VHS and you are right...it's not your average teen sex comedy. There's alot of seriousness and drama in this film! The ending is heartbreaking.I like how they keep playing the song "Oh No" by The Commodores...that song works so well in it.
