This is going to sound bizarre but the biggest reason I don't take vitamins is they make me feel too good. when I take them on a regular basis I have a hard time sleeping from how much energy they give me mad I usually have to take half pills to avoid that.

disbelief You are so weird lol It's cos you're too skinny nod

I'm skinny too, I think I'm underweight 5 feet and 85 pounds for a 23 year old. sad I get cramps in my toes and legs...I don't know what that's about and I get tired a lot.

I don't take multiple vitamins...they actually make me feel
not so good...I take 1000 units of vitamin D in the winter
however....it helps with the muscle aches and pains associated
with lack of sunshine. I also take extra magnesium for leg cramps.

Winter's for the birds sometimes lol

Oh, and a lot of the multiple vitamins contain 100% of your
daily need for vitamine A, so if you're getting enough in your
diet, you're getting too much. Vitamin A can actually be toxic.

Thanks, I posted about my leg cramp...which I experienced last night before reading your post, thanks.

I was just looking up some information on this.

I started taking a multi-vitamin because I am currently on a diet. I am fat! razz lol I have lost 8 pounds but I have 12 more to go. I need to lose 20 pounds, but don't worry losing this weight is NOT going to make me skinny. I will still be fat according to some people standards. I just want to get down to a healthier weight. I have just been making little changes and exercising--walking everyday. I have cut out bad things like sweets and rich food.. or more I eat them in moderation. I keep threatening to go to the gym, but I hate going to the gym! I like walking.. but if I could lose a few more pounds, I might start going to the gym, too.

Anyway, I was reading that it is better to get vitamins through the food you eat. I read that you do not absorb pill vitamins like one would absorb through food.

P.S. I have gained weight because I like to cook. I also tend to gain weight when I am happy! lol lol I lose weight when I am sad.

I just was wondering if it was really worth even taking a multi-vitamin daily?

I take a multivitamin daily, but it's synthetic and I had a trainer once tell me that organic is better. Any recommendations?

B12 shot, every month. I use a liquid sublingual B complex everyday as a back-up tactic, when I can't go into the city for the shot.

Geritol, once or twice a month.

Dry vitamin D, daily.

If they don't help you might check with your doctor, because I understand
from my doc that there are different kinds of leg cramps...I don't remember
anymore what that means exactly confuse
