not so good...I take 1000 units of vitamin D in the winter however....it helps with the muscle aches and pains associated with lack of sunshine. I also take extra magnesium for leg cramps. Winter's for the birds sometimes Oh, and a lot of the multiple vitamins contain 100% of your daily need for vitamine A, so if you're getting enough in your diet, you're getting too much. Vitamin A can actually be toxic. Thanks, I posted about my leg cramp...which I experienced last night before reading your post, thanks. unlucky7 reincarnated

I was just looking up some information on this.
I started taking a multi-vitamin because I am currently on a diet. I am fat! Anyway, I was reading that it is better to get vitamins through the food you eat. I read that you do not absorb pill vitamins like one would absorb through food. P.S. I have gained weight because I like to cook. I also tend to gain weight when I am happy! I just was wondering if it was really worth even taking a multi-vitamin daily? [Edited 1/17/09 7:14am]

I take a multivitamin daily, but it's synthetic and I had a trainer once tell me that organic is better. Any recommendations?

If they don't help you might check with your doctor, because I understand from my doc that there are different kinds of leg cramps...I don't remember anymore what that means exactly ` [Edited 1/17/09 15:31pm]
