Question about Itunes I have a PC with its own hard drive and an external. The external harddrive is where I launch Itunes from.
I will convert a new CD I bought and then save the converted songs to my external harddrive. Even though I have noved the songs to my external, they are archived on my PC drive. My question is this. IF I go in and delete the archive on my PC drive, will it affect the files on my external? I am terrified of deleting them and having to do everything all over again! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

How do you move the songs to the external drive?

You have set the external drive as your itunes folder in itunes preferences, haven't you?
Then you consolidate library and can delete the files that remain on the PC. Only the library, huh? Don't delete any other related file

Anyway, if you select a song in itunes and right click it, it will confirm you the path. If it's in the external drive, no problem.
If it says C:/ Whatever then you have done something wrong

Don't delete any other related file Truth be told, I'm still confused as hell about the ipod/itunes I have NEVER been able to get it to synch up to my external. Everytime I hook up the ipod to another computer it tries to reach out to the drive on that computer and I haven't figured out how to direct it to the external so I set it on manual. Because of that it won't synch and I have had to create one playlist for every album/mix/podcast I have Still it's a million times better than carrying about 2 billion CDs 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I have a Mac and my sweetie has a PC. I can't figure out the operation of iTunes on his PC to save my soul. It makes no damn sense whatsoever. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

This thread is nowhere near the class of your vagina thread.
I give it one star. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Yeah, I heard it's like explanatory on the Mac. I've never hooked it up to one but I'm sure I'm being crippled for that reason 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
